Spring is here!

The best thing about Spring in Missoula is the Farmer's Market.  Lots of locals buying fresh, locally grown produce and bedding plants.  Several of the vendors belong to the Montana Sustainable Growers' Union whose members commit to growing and selling their organic produce locally and to using sustainable growing and harvesting techniques.   The more I learn about how much energy and natural resources are used simply in the transportation of food, not to mention in the manufacture of synthetic pesticides and herbicides, the better I feel about buying from local producers.
