I think the oppression of Tibet is terrible. But I think stopping the Olympic games would only make China more angry because they would "lose face." The Chinese are very proud to host the Olympic games and if they were denied the opportunity to host the games, they would accuse the international community of being self-righteous and would probably crack down in Tibet even more. It would be better for the international community to encourage the Chinese government to start talking to the Dalai lama and to allow the Tibetans to share more fully in China's economic growth.
In the ancient Greece they stop the war during the Olympic games. Why now not stop the Olympic games in case of war?
